Nevertheless, there is quick shutter repair that can be done as temporary relief. Of course, the time taken is based on the shutter damage level. Preventing your digital camera shutter stuck issue can be simply avoided by making frequent use of your digicam.

A hint: You can confirm stuck shutter by turning to any other mode of your camera, turn flash off, and look at the lens down and take a picture. If you see a tiny flicker in the lens center as the shutter closes and opens, it indicates proper functioning of the shutter.

Steps to fix a stuck shutter

Step 1 – Features off: Turn the camera features off if you know it will drain the digital camera battery. The features also include LCD and flash. If there is no viewfinder in your camera, you have to keep on the LCD. If there is image stabilization, turn it off in your digital camera.

Step 2 – Camera Mode: Turn any setting with camera shutter repair but for auto. Your digital camera has a manual mode; you may switch to it if you are uncertain. In the manual mode, you can take pictures.

Step 3 – Battery Door: Open the door of the battery, after 7 seconds after taking a pic or cover for a few seconds and close it. Remember never turn the digicam off. The idea is to interrupt power while it is in the exposure and the power interruption in most cases ‘jog’ open the shutter.

Step 4 – Repeat: Complete the steps mentioned above as the shutter may be yet stuck on the digital camera features. It is suggested you repeat the steps and continue until the shutter is not stuck any longer. You may also repeat five or twenty times the same process. It depends on the model and the make of your digital camera and the seriousness of the stuck shutter or damaged shutter.
