The New Stabilization Feature in Sony A6600 Flagship APS-C Camera

This is big news since the predecessor Sony A6500 has already been released for almost three years before. As the successor of Sony A6500, Sony entitled the new flagship camera as Sony A6600.

The new flagship camera from Sony is the dream camera for everyone who wants small equipment with the ability to handle everything such as vlogging and sport shooting. On paper, we can see that this new Sony camera brings all the great things from its predecessor, Sony A6400. Therefore, these two camera looks very identical on paper.

The news of Sony A6600 flagship APS-C camera was being announced on 28th August this year. It offers some identical specifications to A6400 camera which the two use 24.2 megapixels with Exmor CMOS APS-C sensor.  ISO sensitivity from A6600 expands up to 102400 just the same as Sony A6400 which released earlier this year.  The quality of recording video at 3K 40p internal HDR. Also, both of the A series brings the same viewfinder quality and useful features like burst shooting with 11 fps speed.

Despite, A6600 series still brings some old features from its predecessor, actually there is no problem with it. All professionals understand that the quality of the specs embedded in A6600 series is the excellent specifications just like the same with A6400 series debuted earlier this year.

New Innovation in Sony A6600

Although A6600 series from Sony still brings plenty of the same features with the predecessor, it surely brings some new impressive innovation for you. The latest camera offers a broader ISO range from BionZ X processor that being updated. Comparing with A6500 series, the ISO range from A6600 series is two times expandable (ISO 102400) while the older brother only expands to ISO 51200.

The consequence from broader ISO is Sony A6600 provides the users with a better photographic result although in low-light condition. The camera also able to generate sharp photos results even if you shoot the images by hand handling. This advantage is given by the presence of 5 axis image stabilization inside the camera.

A6600 series from Sony also carries more improvements in hybrid autofocus system that consists of 425 contrast-detection points and 425 phase points. The older brother of A6600 series also carries the same amount of 425 phase points. But the amount for contrast-detection is only provided for 160 points.

The A6600 series also brings more developments in autofocus software. The company claims that the camera only takes 0.02 seconds to focus which positioned A6600 as the world’s fastest speed.

The retailer prices for Sony A6600 flagship APS-C camera body alone is $1,400 U.S. If you prefer the camera with a kit of the 18-135 lens from Sony, the price you need to spend is $1,800. This new flagship camera will available on the market in November. You still have much time to decide whether the camera is worth buying or not.
