This year has witnessed domination of the market by full-frame mirrorless cameras like the Panasonic S1, Sony AR7 IV, Canon EOS RP, etc. Rumors regarding the launch of new DSLR cameras in 2019 are coming thick and fast. We look at some of the most awaited upcoming DSLR launches in 2019 which are discussed below:

Canon EOS R Pro

While the EOS R was a good camera, it was not a flagship DSLR from Canon. Rumors are that Canon can launch the EOS R Pro model in 2019. This upcoming Canon DSLR is expected to feature a high-resolution lens. It is expected to come with 70MP sensor, dual memory card slots, and a joystick. It can also compete with the Nikon Z7 and Sony AR7 III. This DSLR is expected to be launched at the end of 2019. This is a truly awaited upcoming DSLR launch in 2019.

Nikon Z9

Nikon is expected to launch its flagship Z9 full-frame mirrorless camera in 2019. Their first full-frame mirrorless cameras were quite impressive with Z6 and Z7 becoming hugely popular. The rumors are that Z9 will be launched soon and may rival with the Nikon D5 in terms of quality and features. It is most likely to feature excellent battery life, dual memory card slots, and high-speed shooting speeds of up to 20fps. The Z9 is expected to pack in features which will help it to directly compete with cameras like the Sony A9. It can also feature a top of the line autofocus system and other premium and advanced features which make it one of the most awaited upcoming DSLR launches in 2019.

Nikon D760

Though Nikon’s Z series DSLRs have earned a name for themselves and have become hugely popular, the D series is Nikon’s heritage and legacy. The D750 has been a loved member of Nikon’s full-frame DSLR cameras. It is one of the most affordable full-frame DSLRs which make it very appealing. It has been overshadowed by the launch of D850. Rumors are rife for the launch of Nikon’s upcoming DSLR-D760. It is expected that this upcoming Nikon DSLR will sport a 36MP sensor and also support 4K video recording, a feature which was missing in the Nikon D750. It may also get an upgrade on the autofocus system and may come with the 153-point autofocus system. The Nikon D760 is expected to be launched with touchscreen control.
