Samsung Galaxy Fold is a much-anticipated foldable smartphone which is expected to be launched in September 2019. It is a hyped and innovative smartphone which is expected to come with the following key features:

Design

The Samsung Galaxy Fold has an intuitive design factor for a foldable smartphone. This foldable smartphone opens like a book. The front display is 4.6-inches and there is a larger 7.3-inch display inside. This foldable smartphone uses a 20-part dual-axis hinge for folding and unfolding the phone. the fingerprint sensor is located on the lower half of the device when it is closed. The USB-C port and speakers are provided on each part of the bottom panel.

Display

The Samsung Galaxy Fold comes with two displays. It sports 4.6-inch HD+ Super AMOLED display on the front. The display is bright and vivid due to Samsung’s Super AMOLED technology. When you open this phone, there is a larger tablet display of 7.3-inches which is QHD+ Dynamic AMOLED display. It also supports HDR10+ for better viewing experience. Overall, the display is excellent with bright, clear, and crisp color reproduction. However, the large bezels on the front can be a deal breaker in an age where bezel less phones are in trend.

Camera and Battery

The Samsung Galaxy Fold comes with 6 cameras which is amazing. The main trio cameras are in the rear with 12MP sensors. other cameras include 12MP telephoto lens with f/2.4 aperture and OIS and a 16MP ultra-wide-angle lens with f/2.2 aperture. There is a 10MP front camera. The performance of the cameras should be excellent as the same cameras used in Samsung S10 and S10 Plus are being used in the Samsung Galaxy Fold. There are 2 more front cameras of 10MP and 8MP (f/2.2). The total battery capacity is 4380mAh which can last for one full day but it also depends on your usage.

App Continuity

App Continuity feature on the Samsung Galaxy Fold allows you to use an app on the front smaller display and then continue using it on the larger tablet display inside. This feature comes in handy when you want to enjoy multimedia content on a larger display or you need to zoom into a particular section of the app. You can simply unfold the phone and continue using the app on the larger tablet display inside.

Multi-Active Window

Another innovative feature of the Samsung Galaxy Fold is its multi-active window which allows you to run three apps at a time. This allows you to do multitasking seamlessly. The apps, however, need to be optimized to work on this foldable smartphone.
