How to use Apple Pay, The digital wallet and Buy Online Stuff or Pay at the stores

Are you bewildered to find you do not have the debit card right now? You are not the only one; there are millions like you doing the same every day. Now there is one thing you can rely on to pay through your iPhone, Apple Pay.

What is it?

Apple Pay is ideal for mobile payments. This is a digital wallet and features holdouts. Apple Pay stores securely your debit or credit card details on your phone. You can use the same to buy services and goods at cash registers and participating stores. You may also buy online stuff.

Instructions step-by-step to use Apple Pay

Load your debit or credit card

Begin by opening on your iPhone the digital wallet app. It may be by default your first home screen.
Tap ‘+” button appearing on the screen top-right corner and click on the next page as ‘Continue’.
Tap on ‘Add Card’ and include your credit or debit card details by key-in the details or even by capturing a photo.
On adding your payment card photo, the details auto-populate. You will be asked to enter the security code in the next screen.
Select next and give the security code of your card and its expiry date, click next.
Tap on Agree to accept the Terms and Conditions appearing in the bottom-right of the page and finish reading.
Now get ready to use Apple Pay. You can see two symbols now; one will say Apple Pay and the next will be sideways four curved lines. You may choose from the screen bottom ‘Continue’.
In the right bottom corner, three dots will appear to choose your billing address. Here you may key-in the information and click on ‘Done’ appearing in the corner top-right.

Using Apple Pay

Adding the card implies you may start using Apple Pay and there is no need for you to take a physical bank card. You can buy even with the lock screen. You just have to double-click the side button or the home button, select Pay with Passcode. On holding the device close to the card reader, the payment processor in the store will recognize the details.

You can pay even as you buy online stuff. The only thing you need to do is choose ‘Buy with Apple Pay’. You may use Face or Touch ID as transaction authentication. Apple Pay supports the providers of major debit and credit cards. This includes MasterCard, Visa, and American Express.

Apple payment system through mobile works with federal payment cards as well that has veteran’s benefits and social security paid using the debit cards. It also includes government-issued cards and Direct Express payment network through GSA SmartPay. It supports the federal government transactions; it means to pay to buy tickets or for gift items bought at national parks.
