Realme 64MP Quad Camera Coming in August 2019

Realme has teased its 64MP quad-camera setup which will be featured on one of its upcoming smartphones. Realme has made a name for itself in the budget smartphone market in a short time and is planning to move into the affordable premium smartphone segment with the launch of Realme X. It has now confirmed that its next smartphone will come with 64MP camera. The expected details of this quad-camera setup and the upcoming Realme 5 smartphone in which it is likely to be used, are provided below:

What to Expect

Realme has already created quite a buzz with its teased 64MP quad-camera setup. The smartphone brand will provide more details on this quad-camera set up in an event planned on 8^th August 2019. There are many rumors doing the rounds on what to expect from this path-breaking 64MP quad-camera setup from Realme.

For starters, you can expect this quad-camera to be introduced in Realme 5 which is an upcoming smartphone from Realme. This camera setup will be equipped with Samsung’s ISOCELL Bright GW1 sensor. This is a 1/1.72 inch sensor which supports a pixel size of 0.8μm.

The sensor also supports Tetracell technology from Samsung with 4-in-1 pixel binning. This technology provides excellent photographs in low light conditions also. Realme has also hinted at AI capabilities of this camera which can click real life-like photographs. Pixel binning helps to increase the exposure even further, which provides very impressive photographs.

Realme 5 Tentative Specifications

Realme is expected to offer the above-mentioned 64MP quad-camera setup in its upcoming Realme 5 smartphone. It is also likely to be the world’s first smartphone to come with a 64MP camera. The four different cameras are likely to consist of primary, ultrawide, telephoto, and a depth sensor combination. This will make the Realme 5 one of the best camera smartphones.

Though Realme is known for manufacturing budget smartphones, the upcoming Realme 5 smartphone may buck that trend. It may be a premium flagship-level smartphone being powered by Snapdragon 855 or 855 plus processor which Realme has been talking of for some time now.

Realme has also confirmed that this upcoming smartphone will be first launched in India and will then roll out in other global markets. The company has scheduled an event in China on 15^th August 2019, in which it can provide more details on the upcoming Realme 5 smartphone.
