Easily one of the top-selling smartphones in India, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 4’s ROM update has been one of the most requested by users.

As for what kinds of changes the update is bringing to the Xiaomi Redmi Note 4, there are some core changes as well as user interface upgrades.

One thing that is coming down the pipeline is a full-screen gesture ability. New volume sliders are coming to replace the old design that was less than ideal to use and there will be improved multitasking features as well. The audio system is getting a boost with a tilt towards the natural sound and a redesigned notification panel should be the icing on the cake for the update.

Users that want to see if their phone can be updated can do so quite easily by accessing the phone’s Settings.

Once you have found the Settings, go to “About Phone” then “System Updates.” From here you will want to check to see if any system updates are available to let the phone do just that.

A lot of these updates are convenience features and ease of user requests. But, really, the latest MIUI 10 Global Stable ROM Update is bringing the Xiaomi Redmi Note 4’s design and software in line with that of competing headsets.

For its part, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 has an impressive set of features including a 5.5-inch full HD display with 2.5D curved glass. The smartphone is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 processor with Adreno 506 graphics. The Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 can come with anywhere from 2 to 4GB of RAM and storage ranging from 32GB to 64GB. Of course, modern smartphones are often judged by the strength of their camera, and in this department, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 is no slouch either.

The camera is a 13MP with a f/2.0 aperture. The smartphone has a 5MP front camera ideal for taking selfies.

Probably one of the strongest points about the Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 is its price. The unit can range anywhere from $120 to $150. Given its list of features and hardware specs, this is a real deal for a lot of users.

Of course, the latest update isn’t the last that Xiaomi has planned for the Redmi Note 4. Rumors have it that the company will be bringing even more improvements to the device sometime in 2019.
