The iPhone XS and XS Max: What to know

Although it’s known to the world that Apple is generally pricey for what it has to offer, the XS and the XS Max are no different. The delicate phone is prone to scratches and like any other iPhone, broken screens. However, phones have remarkable performance and phenomenal cameras. With its new attractive design, the iPhone has gotten an upgrade.

If you’re new to iPhone or haven’t upgraded in a while, this is probably your first phone without a home button. We admit it, that feature still as we have yet to be accustomed to. Whilst the phones are not much of an upgrade from iPhone X, considering that phone was a leap for the company, it’s great to use despite being a little heavy on your pockets.

Getting started:

You’ve just taken the phone out of its box. It already feels and looks great. Shiny, and oh so beautiful. Something one should expect after investing every pretty penny for it. Not only is the iPhone sleek and attractive, but it also comes in two sizes (hence the max).

To start, you need to understand that you have a few options on your hands:

  1. Start brand new. This means your phone is at factory settings and it will be just like you first get a phone; uncustomized.
  2. Restore from a previous phone to transfer all the data to this one. This is only for people who have previously owned an Apple device.
  3. Importing from other phones is also an option. There are various ways to do this, one of which is to import media and info via online services.

Must-have features:

There are some features in the iPhone XS and the XS Max that you want to set up. This includes the memoji and other things the device has to offer:

  1. Memoji: Turn yourself into an emoji! This feature is great when taking pictures and the phones exceptional camera makes it even better.
  2. Apple Pay: Infinitely more secure than your regular debit card, it’s high time you make use of this service which allows you to send money to your friends and family as well.
  3. Portrait Mode: This feature is the reason why people don’t mind paying so much for the device. Once you use it, you’ll wonder how you ever even lived without it. Taking a picture and shooting has never been so Instagram-worthy.

Whilst there are plenty of things you could set up and enable on your new device, here are a few must-have features that will make you use your new iPhone a whole new experience.
