Remember PUBG? It is the other Battle Royale game that was very popular before Fortnite Battle Royale came in and became the king of Battle Royale games. PUBG was only on PC and Xbox One. However, now it has been announced that PUBG Is also coming to PlayStation 4 and it is being released on December 7th.
While the popularity of PUBG may have fallen a little thanks to Fortnite taking over the world and also Call of Duty introducing their own take on the genre with Blackout in Black Ops IIII. PUBG showing up on the PlayStation 4 is something that is cool and also something that more than a few gamers have been interested in for a while now.
To help hook those gamers that have been wanting PUBG on the PS4. Some pretty fun pre-order bonuses are being included with PUBG. One of these is an outfit. This is no ordinary outfit though as it will make you look like the hero of the Uncharted series, Nathan Drake. The other pre-order bonus is really awesome as it is very obscure and something that is quite surprising they even bothered to do. This is the backpack that Ellie used in the awesome, The Last of Us.
On launch as well as the cool pre-order bonuses. PUBG on PlayStation 4 is going to be released with three maps. The maps that are going to be available are, Sanok, Erangel, and Miramar. The makers of the game call these iconic maps, I am not sure I would go that far, but having three maps at launch is fine by me.
The first is called the Looters Edition and this is the basic PUBG PS4 package. All you get is the base game and the pre-order content if your pre-order of course.
Next up we have the Survivors Edition. As well as the base game you also get the Survivor Pass: Vikendi, 2,300 G-Coin Pack and 20,000 BP.
Last of all is their most expensive edition and that is the Champions Edition. Of course, you get the base game, but you also get the Survivor Pass: Vikendi, 6,000 G-Coin Pack and 20,000 BP.
One thing that may have caught your attention is the Vikendi Pass. What this is I am not 100 percent sure, but what I do know is that this is going to be the PUBG version of a season/battle pass. What is included with it is not exactly known right now, but we do know that this is not a PS4 only thing and that the Vikendi Pass is also going to be coming to Xbox One and PC.
PUBG on the PlayStation 4 feels like it could be six months to a year too late. Fortnite Battle Royale has a really strong footing on the console and it can be played for free. PUBG, on the other hand, requires you to spend over 20 bucks just to play the game and then there is all the other stuff you may “want” to buy in the game as well. It is going to be quite interesting to see just how well PUBG does on the PlayStation 4 in comparison to PC and Xbox One.
