Avengers Assemble On PS4 & Xbox One

As I write this, we are deep into E3 2019 and so far it has been a fantastic show. One of the most interesting things about this show was that many people felt it would be looking towards the next Xbox and the PlayStation 5. Well, that was not the case as this years E3 showed that there is still a lot of life left in this current generation of video game consoles.
While EA, Microsoft, and Ubisoft all had great press conferences. One that really does deserve special attention is the Square-Enix one. Many wondered just what they would show. The big rumor heading into the event was that they were finally going to show off their game based on Marvel’s Avengers!
This is a game that was teased what felt like years ago! No new information was ever given about it. This did cause some people to think that the Square- Enix Avengers game had been quietly put back. Meaning that it would no longer be made for the PS4 and Xbox One and was instead being worked on with the next generation of video game consoles in mind.
Well E3 2019 showed that was not the case at all! Marvel’s Avengers for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PC and even the Google Stadia! Is coming out next year. The 15th of May 2020 was the date given. It showcased five heroes that you could play as. Iron Man, Thor, Captain America, Hulk, and Black Widow. It also teased more characters to come with Ant-Man!
One thing that has been pretty cool about this years, E3 is that games companies seem to be realizing that gamers are sick of getting asked to pay a buck here or five bucks there for more content. The Square- Enix Avengers game promised that all new characters and locations will be free! Of course, there is bound to be some skins that you can pay for, but getting actually characters is really awesome.
The game looks to be a lot of fun and it is a game that you can play on your own or with some of your buddies online. The Spider-Man game that was released last year was a huge hit and showed how a Marvel game should be done, so there are some high expectations for this Square-Enix Avengers game.
While this is coming to the current generation of game consoles. The Square-Enix E3 2019 press conference did make a point to mention that PS4 owners can play the game early if they pre-order so that is pretty cool. Also, Square-Enix is known for making special edition consoles for their big games so you have to wonder if we will see some kind of Avengers themed PlayStation 4 console! They made a really cool one for Kingdom Hearts so it would be very interesting to see what they could do with The Avengers.
